Welcome to ForRenters. By creating an account, submitting a review, or otherwise using ForRenters (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Reviews publish immediately
ForRenters does not pre-moderate reviews. When you check the agreement box and submit, your review is published right away so other renters can benefit from it without delay. You are solely responsible for the content you post.
2. Write honest, first-hand experiences
- Only review properties or landlords you have genuinely rented from or dealt with directly.
- Base your rating on your own experience — not hearsay, rumor, or second-hand accounts.
- Be specific and fair. Facts help other renters; exaggeration does not.
- One honest review per tenancy. Do not post duplicate or fake reviews, or reviews in exchange for payment.
3. Keep it respectful and lawful
Do not post content that:
- is false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent;
- harasses, threatens, or bullies any person, or incites violence;
- contains hate speech or attacks anyone based on race, religion, gender, nationality, disability, or similar protected characteristics;
- reveals private or personal information (yours or others’), such as phone numbers, financial details, or the specific unit of a private residence;
- is spam or advertising, or infringes anyone’s intellectual-property rights;
- promotes illegal activity or otherwise breaks the law.
4. Your content licence
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant ForRenters a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote your content in connection with operating the Service. Do not upload files or images you do not have the right to share.
5. Reporting & enforcement
Because reviews are not pre-approved, moderation is community-driven. If you see content that breaks these guidelines, use the Report button on the review. Our team reviews reports and may edit, hide, or remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms. We may act on repeat or serious violations without notice.
6. No professional advice
Reviews reflect the personal opinions of their authors and are provided for general information only. ForRenters does not endorse any property or landlord and is not responsible for decisions you make based on content on the Service.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms and Guidelines from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
